Leticia Gonzalez is co-founder and executive director for Imagine Therapies, LLC. Leti graduated from Southwest Texas University in 1999 with a Bachelor's of Science in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. After completing her clinical internship at Warm Springs Sports in San Antonio, TX, Leti became nationally certified with NCTRC.
She has practiced with a variety of populations and settings, to include; physical rehabilitation, psychiatric treatment, chemical and substance abuse recovery and treatment, and private contracting. Leti has experience working with a wide based range of diagnosis, and has worked with but not limited to ages 3-100.
She currently speaks on a variety of topics in the local community and surrounding areas to include: resources in the community, benefits of Recreation Therapy, leadership skills, therapeutic group games, leisure education, creating therapeutic programs in treatment centers, and using arts and crafts as a modality. Leti is American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified and held a SAMA Trainer certification as well as a low and high element R.O.P.E.S certification for 2 years.
Some of her leisure and recreational interests include: scrapbooking, arts and crafts, sports, games, and exercise. She emphasizes the importance in making leisure and recreation a part of anyone and everyone's routine to maintain a good quality of life.
